Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise oil spill response teams and contractors during incidents.
- Coordinate cleanup operations and ensure timely and effective containment, recovery, and disposal of oil spills.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Maintain readiness of oil spill response equipment and resources.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
- Participate in emergency drills and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Marine, Petroleum) or Environmental Marine Biology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil spill response operations.
- Thorough knowledge of oil industry products, processes, and environmental consequences of spill prevention, containment, recovery, and disposal methods.
- Certifications: IMS Level 2/3, Incident Command System, NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong leadership and ability to motivate and influence others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective planning and organizational skills; ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Team player with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
