Main responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee the entire operation of the customs bonded warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient daily activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the proper storage, receiving, and dispatch of materials and goods.
• Coordinate with customs and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant warehouse operations, including the timely processing of all documentation required for imports and exports.
• Ensure that all government regulations, including those from Customs, Civil Defense, Ministry of Health, and Environmental authorities, are fully complied with for the safe operation of the warehouse, particularly for hazardous or dangerous goods (HAZ/DG cargo). Maintain MSDS and other relevant documentation as per regulatory requirements.
• Handle storage invoicing and ensure completed job files are processed and submitted to finance for timely closing.
• Support the company in securing new business and ensure warehouse space is fully utilized to meet operational demands.
• Assist in optimizing warehouse space and layout to maximize storage capacity and enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor and assist with inventory reconciliation and audits, ensuring stock levels are accurate and properly maintained.
• Report on warehouse operations to management, highlighting issues, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations, particularly related to material handling and storage processes.
• Participate in training related to warehouse safety, regulations, and operational improvements.


Accountabilities
Position will be measured against:
• Efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operations.
• Proper inventory management and stock control.
• Adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• Effective coordination between internal teams (logistics, customs, etc.).
• Timely and accurate dispatch and delivery of goods.
• Hands-on experience with the Customs system (OFOQ) for imports and exports.


Qualifications
• Formal education to degree level or other relevant qualification.
• Very good command of the English language (spoken and written).
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of bonded warehouse operations and the freight forwarding business is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to cooperate across organizational lines, internally and with customers.
