Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator SR to join our team and provide expert support in maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems for the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Network administrators need solid technical skills and experience with a variety of network 41 protocols, software, and hardware involved in LAN and WAN operations
- The Government may require staff to be on call 24/7 in case of network failures or emergencies
- Administering the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures
Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrades - Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems
- Administering LAN/WAN security, antivirus, and spam control measures
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- The position requires strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities
- Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting
- Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows and macOS
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a STEM field or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum 5 -10 years of related experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, etc.) is a plus
