Role summary
The Energy Field Consultant provides sector, market, and stakeholder intelligence to ensure the successful delivery of a multi-quarter marketing, positioning, and growth roadmap for an energy-sector client operating in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. This role ensures all strategic, narrative, and activation outputs are technically accurate, culturally credible, and aligned with real-world decision-making structures in the Saudi energy ecosystem.
What you’ll do
- Lead market and sector intelligence inputs by contributing to a structured research sprint within the first 30 days, delivering validated insights on Saudi energy sector trends, regulatory dynamics, buyer personas, and decision-making structures used in 100% of strategy and positioning outputs.
- Validate competitive and ecosystem analysis by reviewing and stress-testing competitor positioning, partnership logic, and market-entry assumptions, ensuring zero factual or regulatory inaccuracies in all client-facing materials.
- Advise on brand positioning and narrative development by reviewing and refining hero narratives, value propositions, and campaign themes, ensuring alignment with Saudi energy-sector priorities and acceptance by senior stakeholder audiences (e.g., utilities, regulators, large energy buyers).
- Ensure localization accuracy by validating Arabic and English key messaging for cultural nuance, terminology, and sector credibility.
- Support thought leadership development by contributing outlines, key messages, or expert reviews (reports, whitepapers, keynote abstracts), ensuring technical accuracy and relevance to KSA energy discourse.
- Enable media and PR credibility by advising on topics, angles, and language for press releases and interviews, reducing factual clarification requests from media to near zero.
- Advise on campaign focus areas by aligning quarterly campaign themes with sector maturity, procurement cycles, and investment priorities, improving lead relevance.
- Support event and ecosystem engagement strategy by advising on priority forums, speaker positioning, and partnership logic, contributing to successful pitching or participation in at least 1-2 major regional events annually.
- Participate in internal alignment sessions and workshops by providing sector context and decision-making insights, ensuring marketing, business development, and leadership teams demonstrate improved alignment and confidence in Saudi-market engagement.
- Contribute to performance reviews and forward planning by providing sector-informed interpretation of H1 and H2 performance results and advising on strategic adjustments for future cycles.
