Key Responsibilities: 
1. Full Spectrum on governance-related matters and policies: 
• Key contact for governance matters in the legal division. 
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and best practices. 
• Advise on governance policies and implementation.


2. Develop and Implement Government Relations Strategies: 
• Develop strategies to strengthen engagement with government entities. 
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and influence. 
• Ensure the company’s interests are represented in government discussions.


3. Advise on Government Policies and Regulations: 
• Advise on current and emerging government policies and regulations. 
• Ensure compliance and proactive response to regulatory changes.


4. Hold Interactions with Government Agencies: 
• Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies. 
• Negotiate and represent the company to build positive relationships. 
• Aim for favorable outcomes through strategic engagement.


5. Legal Compliance: 
• Ensure operations align with legal requirements. 
• Conduct regular reviews and collaborate with departments. 
• Integrate legal considerations into business processes.


6. Monitor Legislative Developments: 
• Monitor legislative developments affecting the company. 
• Analyze new laws and regulations. 
• Report findings and advise on policy adjustments.


7. Work with Policymakers: 
• Actively collaborate with policymakers to influence and shape legislative and regulatory 
frameworks.  


8. Conduct Legal Research and Provide Analysis: 
• Conduct legal research on laws affecting government relations and compliance. 
• Provide analysis to support regulatory decision-making.


9. Prepare Legal Memorandums and Reports: 
• Prepare legal memorandums and reports on government and regulatory issues. 
• Support strategic planning and decision-making with legal documentation.


10. Prepare for Negotiations and Contract Discussions, Review and Drafting: 
• Prepare for negotiations and contract discussions with government entities. 
• Review and draft contracts internally and externally. 
• Provide legal insights to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance.


11. Provide General Legal Support Across Business Units: 
• Provide legal support across business units, especially in government and regulatory 
matters.  
• Collaborate with departments to address legal concerns. 
• Ensure alignment with internal and government policies (e.g., Corporate Communications, 
IT, Procurement, Finance).


12. Liaise with External Counsel: 
• Liaise with external counsel on specific legal matters. 
• Coordinate efforts to address complex legal challenges. 
• Protect the company’s interests through expert legal collaboration.


13. Stay Updated on Relevant Legal Developments: 
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains informed and 
prepared to adapt to new legal requirements.


14. Conduct Legal Research: 
• Explore legal texts and precedents, providing valuable insights that inform the company's 
strategies and interactions with government entities.


Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s degree in law, or related field 
• 2+ years of experience in law. 
• Strong communication, research and drafting skills 
• Good understanding of government and regulatory frameworks 
• Good understanding of contract law and corporate governance
