Role Overview

The Interior Designer – Soft Furnishing Workshop Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all soft furnishing workshop activities, ensuring efficient production, timely project delivery, and consistently high quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and organisational skills to effectively supervise teams and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and supervise daily workshop operations covering furniture, upholstery, curtains, and wall coverings.

Plan and manage production schedules, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed on time.

Implement and monitor quality control procedures in line with company and industry standards.

Coordinate closely with the design and project management teams to translate client requirements into accurate production output.

Monitor inventory, procurement, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal utilisation and maintenance.

Train, guide, and develop workshop personnel to improve skills, efficiency, and performance.

Skills

Proven experience in interiors within the furniture, upholstery, soft furnishing, or interior fit-out sectors.

Strong technical knowledge of materials, production methods, and installation processes related to soft furnishings.

Ability to read, interpret, and implement technical drawings and design specifications.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
