Sales Advisor

Job purpose:

To underwrite and process personal line products within company guidelines for customers with a high level of Customer service / Sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To answer all calls in a consistent and professional manner as per desired level of Customer Service.
  • To provide customers with accurate information as per the company guidelines of all products.
  • Employees should ensure that they adhere to the level of productivity prescribed by their manager. Feedback and improvement will be implemented where necessary.
  • Employees should ensure that a high level of quality standards are applied to ensure correct information is obtained from the customer for the use of quotations, changes in policies and renewals.
  • Promote the company’s products at all times.
  • Identify and refer all risks outside personal authority limit to the relevant manager.
  • Ensure relationships are maintained and developed with key partners where necessary.
  • Ensure campaign results set out by manager is achieved.
  • Ensure Audit standards are met based on guidelines provided by management.
  • Employee should adhere to the shift patterns as instructed by manager.
  • Provide support to colleagues within the team as well as to the other areas of the personal lines department to alleviate short term resource issued and ensure smooth service to customer
  • Perform any other related duties as required to support the operation.
  • The employees is required to achieve the daily sales target for inbound and outbound calls
  • Follow up with all prospective customers old and new.


Operational & Technical Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite (rate, accept, decline and issue new policies and renewals) for all personal lines products within delegated authority limit and in accordance with the criteria laid down in approved underwriting manuals and management instruction
  • Employees are required to achieve the sales results and KPI’s for inbound and outbound calls set up by manager


Essential Requirements:

  • Prior Telephone sales experience (inbound and outbound) being a top performer (average of 100 calls/day)) for t least 1 year.
  • Secondary Education preferred
