Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the legal services department and ensure the team delivers high-quality legal support.
- Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's objectives.
- Manage complex legal cases and negotiate contracts to mitigate risks and protect the company’s interests.
- Provide expert legal advice to senior management and business units on various regulatory and compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations while maintaining best practices in legal operations.
- Foster and manage relationships with external legal advisors and stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on industry changes and impact on the organization's operations.
- Prepare and present reports on legal issues and strategies to the executive leadership team.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop legal staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Law (LL.M) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 20 years of relevant experience in legal practice, ideally in a corporate setting.
- Experience in managing complex legal cases and providing strategic guidance at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing departmental budgets.
