Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate the bar, including overseeing inventory, staff scheduling, and financial performance.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate bar staff to ensure they perform to the highest standards.
  • Create and implement cocktail menus, ensuring quality and consistency in drinks served.
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies as necessary to maintain bar inventory.
  • Handle cash transactions and manage financial reports related to bar operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as other relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Engage with guests, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction to build customer loyalty.
  • Plan and organize special events and promotions to drive bar sales.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally.


Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bar manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology and beverage service standards.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good understanding of financial management and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bar management or significant bar-related roles.
  • Experience in staff hiring and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance profitability through effective marketing and special events.
  • Experience in a fine dining or upscale bar setting preferred.
