Job Title: Financial Controller - Fintech

Location: Bahrain

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our innovative fintech team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, regulatory compliance, and reporting, specifically with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and contributing to the strategic financial planning of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management & Reporting:
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis to ensure accurate financial performance reporting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, policies, and guidelines set by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the CBB, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Act as the main point of contact with the CBB for audits, inquiries, and regulatory updates.
• Internal Controls & Risk Management:
• Develop and implement internal control systems to safeguard financial assets and optimize the company's financial operations.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify financial risks and recommend solutions to mitigate them.
• Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations as per CBB guidelines.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA) or a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a financial management role within the fintech or financial services sector.
• Must have direct experience working with the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), including reporting, audits, and compliance.
