Responsible for supporting the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations.
Your role involves assisting with bookkeeping, preparing financial documents, and ensuring
accuracy in financial records. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant or
Accounting Manager.
Includes the following (but not limited to):
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping:
- Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and
payments.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Generate and send out invoices to clients and track payments.
- Assist in reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets,
income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare supporting documentation for financial reports.
- Reconciliation:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
- Data Entry:
- Input financial data into accounting software.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Expense Reporting:
- Review and process employee expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assistance with Audits:
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Gather and prepare necessary documentation for audit purposes.
- Tax Preparation:
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
- Compliance and Control:
- Adhere to accounting standards and regulations.
- Support the implementation of internal controls.
- Administrative Support:
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
- Provide support to the accounting team and other departments.
Qualifications & Skills Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills.
Background/Required:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in Food and Beverage field
- Knowledge in Food Costing
Work Environment:
- Typically works in an office setting.
- May require occasional overtime during peak financial periods (e.g., end of the fiscal
year, tax season).
