The purpose of this job is to lead sales and business development efforts for Clariant's polypropylene catalyst portfolio in the Middle East region. This role involves collaborating with key regional customers to advance Clariant's global Polyolefins strategy and achieve financial objectives. Support for this position is provided by the Polyolefins team, including - and not limited to - by the Product Management, Technology Advisors, R&D, Strategic Partners, and the local Clariant team.

Responsibilities

  • To Drive sales and business development for Clariant’s polypropylene catalyst portfolio in the Middle East.
  • Work closely with key regional customers to further Clariant’s global Polyolefins strategy and meet financial goals.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Drive sales efforts by identifying potential clients, generating leads, and closing deals.
  • Be responsible for the entire sales process with customers, with the support of Clariant’s dedicated teams.
  • Coordinate with the global and regional teams to implement Clariant’s overall sales strategy.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of polypropylene products, including their applications, benefits, and market positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of polypropylene products, their applications, and industry trends.
  • Technical expertise in polymer chemistry and/or chemical engineering is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop sales team members
