Overall Role Purpose

  • Assess International and National Aviation Regulatory Authority regulations, requirements and recommendations and determine their applicability to company operations.
  • Disseminate internal communication as directed regarding regulations and requirements and advise the Company Management of required compliance.
  • Aid the Director of Quality and Compliance ME with the gap analysis to any new regulation.
  • Develop and maintain the organization expositions, engineering procedures, Ground Ops, Flight Ops and Quality procedures necessary for maintaining company approvals.
  • Manage compliance of Ground Handling Operations in accordance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations of Ground Service Providers (GSP) by means of surveillance and reporting via Audits and Investigations.

Your Tasks:

  • To implement and maintain the Quality Assurance annual audit program.
  • To assist the Director of Quality & Compliance ME in maintaining the audit program, thereby ensuring that DHL Aviation implements a Quality System that is in accordance with BCAA and IOSA requirements.
  • Maintain the Continuing Surveillance Program, provide technical and advisory support to the Technical, Ground Operations and Flight Operations Departments.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze evidence and generate reports detailing recommendations for action by departments or organizations audited.
  • Review the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Programs.
  • Liaise with vendors, Ground Handling Agents and Civil Aviation Authorities with respect to facilitation of inspections/audits.
  • To conduct systematic and periodic evaluations of the Network’s compliance with internal DHL Safety, Quality and Security Standards as well as external ones set by various Regulatory Authorities.
  • Coordinate with auditees to effectively plan and execute the conduct of the approved audit plan, ensuring the Director of Quality & Compliance ME is notified of any non-conformity raised either during audits, or during scheduled & unscheduled tasks.
  • Conduct pre audit research and submit the audit scope for approval of the Director of Quality and Compliance ME.
  • Develop audit reports for vetting and and approval by the Director of Quality and Compliance ME.
  • Managing data entry of audit reports into the audit databases.
  • Evaluate & follow-up on corrective action plans to achieve audit closure & conduct follow-up audits as and when required.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the respective quality functions.
  • Audit contracted and self-handled ground handling activities at all airports where DHL Aviation operates into.
  • To act as safety advocate and to actively promote Safety, Quality, Security, and the DHL Just Culture within the Region through effective communication.
  • Carry out other duties or tasks as assigned by Director Quality & Compliance ME.

Your Profile:

  • At least 5 years' work experience in the field of Quality Assurance as a Lead Auditor in an Airline environment.
  • Holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License, Pilots Licence, Flight Dispatcher Licence, Load Master for at least 10 years, or holder of a degree preferable in Aviation management.
  • Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical competencies.
  • Capable of dealing with many different parties, each with their own interests – negotiation skills are essential for the job holder in obtaining the best solution.
  • Full understanding and knowledge of DHL and third-party airside operations.
  • Has held similar position in an airline or regulatory authority.
