Job Description: Quality Control Supervisors (QCS)

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet specified standards.

Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies.

Train and educate staff on quality control protocols and procedures.

Monitor production lines and conduct regular inspections to identify defects or non-conformities.

Document and report quality issues and work with production teams to resolve them.

Collaborate with other departments to improve overall product quality and consistency.

Maintain quality control records and prepare reports for management review.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques.

Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

Desired Experience:

Up to 3 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Skills

Education/Experience requirements:


  • BSc/Life Sciences (Zoology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Applied Sciences, Microbiology)
  • Training: Food Safety/HACCP/ISO/ BRC/FSSC with seafood processing (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Windows, Excel, Word, ERP - SAP
  • High level of attention to detail and familiarity with product specifications and expectations.
  • Solid understanding of product testing, along with a firm grasp of best practices for testing product characteristics and durability against specifications.
  • Significant attention to detail, particularly in terms of assessing a product’s quality and analyzing recurring manufacturing errors or defects.
  • It’s also helpful for the Quality Controller Supervisors (QCS) to have some familiarity with manufacturing processes so they can contribute to error reduction and process enhancements.
  • Problem-solving skills, effective Quality Controller Supervisors need to be adept problem-solvers, skilled at proposing and implementing solutions to manufacturing defects and recurring quality control issues.
