She acts as integrator and facilitator of efforts of the multi-disciplinary team and patient care services. DON is responsible for the assessment of all requests for nursing administration and for its collaboration and integration with hospital wide programs and services. She participates in the development and implementation of Nursing and Hospital policies and procedures, as well as making suggestions for revision of the same.
