Education/Certifications (specific educational qualifications, degree, certification required for this role) 1) BS or Engineering degree in Process Engineering or Electronics Engineering (Electrical Engineering with major in Electronics) or related field (such as system enginnering or computer engineering (software design)from reputable universities. Process Knowledge is a must. 2) Min 5 up to 20 years experience (depending on the grade code and more than 12 years is prefered) in Process control and automation, preferably in oil & petrochemical industry 3) Certifications, such as Certified Automation Engineer is desirable Specific knowledge & business understanding 1) Thorough knowledge of process control and automation, engineering practices, calculation methods, and design details related to PCS (DCS, SIS, PLC and other control system) systems 2) Working knowledge of economic principles, engineering codes, standards, and specifications 3) Lead engineers in performing special high level assignments requiring extensive demonstrated technical knowledge 4) Process knowledge in related oil / petrochemical plants Competencies/Skills ( Six key competencies from PRC behavioural and leadership competencies) 1) Analytical skills (Develop control methods, procedures, and programs to eliminate causative factors associated with specific problems) 2) Results orientation 3) Conceptualization skills 4) Leadership skills (Provide engineering service to identify and appraise solutions for the assigned function) 5) Computer skills 6) Must be able to produce clear, concise oral and written reports in English 7) Proven ability to communicate in technical English with science and engineering peers 8) Initiating action: taking immediate action when confronted with a problem
