Role Purpose The Universe Manager is responsible for overseeing floor activities to ensure efficient operations and adherence to the company's customer service standards on the universe floor. He/she upholds high visual merchandising standards, maintains store presentation, and ensures continuous product availability.
Responsibilities Manage universe staff by preparing schedules, setting goals and objectives, overseeing performance, and providing training and motivation to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved. Develop a commercial policy, a seasonal layout plan, and an annual timetable for commercial campaigns. Recommend price adjustments based on benchmarking to maintain competitiveness. Monitor universe sales figures, inventory, profit and loss reports, ensuring that weekly and seasonal targets are achieved by the team. Continuously monitor stock levels, assist shop managers with regular inventories, and re-order merchandise as necessary to always ensure adequate stock and maximum range and size availability. Greet customers and ensure they are served promptly by shop staff, in compliance with quality and customer service standards. Develop and maintain a calendar for shop events, ensuring smooth and timely execution of activities. Supervise the communication of shop events and promotions to customers through social media platforms. Communicate with wholesale customers to ensure prompt responses to their needs. Collaborate with local sports clubs to establish partnerships aimed at increasing brand awareness, expanding market share, and boosting sales. 2 Version 01 © Korn Ferry 2023. All rights reserved. Confidential. Support shop managers in conducting regular market research to identify opportunities for development within existing markets, explore potential sports sectors, and expand market share. Manage the end-of-day closing procedures in coordination with the cashiers. Oversee the preparation of cash, electronic card slips, discounts, and VAT vouchers, ensuring they are delivered to the accounting department in accordance with company policies and security standards. Perform other related activities, including overseeing the reception of shipments, communicating with local suppliers, negotiating prices, and promptly reporting operational issues as they arise.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree6-8 years of experience in a managerial role Active participation in at least one sporting activity and expert knowledge of sporting events and products Previous experience in sports goods Prociciency in MS Office Fluency in English Collective Game, Project oriented, Athlete/ambassador, Enthusiastic, Contributor, Empathic, Entrepreneur and responsible Active participation in at least one sporting activity and expert knowledge of sporting events
