Role Description This is a full-time on-site role based in Manama, Bahrain, for a Head Pastry Chef. The Head Pastry Chef will oversee the daily operations of the pastry section, manage a team of pastry staff, and ensure high-quality, aesthetically pleasing creations. Responsibilities include developing and testing new recipes, maintaining inventory and supplies, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and collaborating with other chefs to enhance the dessert offerings. The candidate will also train and mentor junior staff to uphold the quality standards and creativity expected by the company.
Qualifications Expertise in Pastry Making, Baking, and Dessert Presentation Strong skills in Recipe Development, Menu Planning, and Culinary Innovation Experience in Managing Teams, Training Staff, and Ensuring Operational Efficiency Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and Inventory Management Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for artisanal pastry A minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience within a pastry kitchen setting Culinary certification or degree in baking and pastry arts preferred
