Innovation Analyst

Mission:

The Innovation Analyst will support Jo Academy's mission to pioneer EdTech advancements by driving innovation across products, business models, strategies, and processes. Working closely with the Innovation Manager, the Innovation Analyst will conduct research, facilitate ideation, and apply insights to strengthen Jo Academy’s position in the education sector, creating both short-term & long-term value.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive a fast-learning, agile environment by engaging in rapid prototyping, adapting insights to evolving needs, and embracing calculated risks to deliver impactful innovations.
  • Apply design-thinking principles to develop customized strategies, business models, and process improvements that address Jo Academy’s key educational and organizational challenges.
  • Conduct thorough research, including primary & secondary research, supporting the innovation journey and guiding decisions in product development, strategic direction, and business model adaptation.
  • Track and analyze emerging technologies and industry trends, exploring their potential to streamline operations, enhance processes, or create new digital experiences and value for learners.
  • Transform research findings into actionable insights that inform strategy, improve business models, and shape Jo Academy’s innovation roadmap.
  • Oversee project timelines, objectives, and stakeholder communications, ensuring alignment with goals and effective execution of innovation initiatives.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops, fostering cross-functional collaboration and engaging stakeholders in the innovation process.
  • Perform strategic analyses to identify business and process improvement opportunities, creating robust business cases that align with Jo Academy’s innovation objectives.
  • Present insights and recommendations to internal teams, translating research into practical solutions across product, strategy, business model, and process innovation.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by the Innovation Manager to support team initiatives and objectives.


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic, analyst, product or innovation role, ideally within EdTech or a related industry.
  •  Proficient in conducting and synthesizing research to create actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with design-thinking methodologies, with a focus on strategic and user-centered solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that emphasizes rapid learning and iterative improvements.
