Role Purpose

  • Teach high quality lessons
  • To promote and ensure quality and effective teaching and learning of English at the Teaching Centre
  • To support the wider aims of British Council and its cultural relations mission

Main Accountabilities

Support British Council’s global English strategy by:

  • Delivering teaching to the highest standards of ELT
  • Enhancing British Council’s reputation as a world authority in ELT
  • Continuing professional development and sharing of best practices

Main Opportunities/challenges For This Role

▪ By joining the Amman teaching team, you will have the opportunity to teach a wide range of classes and students from A0-B2 adult classes, IELTS, corporate classes, as well as a growing young leaner programme.

▪ You will work as part of a highly experienced diverse and enthusiastic team of teachers with a wide range of backgrounds.

▪We actively encourage professional development and in addition to regular internal training days, there may be opportunities to take additional qualifications such as TYLEC and DELTA.
