About the Role
The job holder is responsible for auditing and overseeing Zain Bahrain’s IT, technology, and business processes to ensure systems and operations comply with established quality standards, while also reviewing, analyzing, and auditing telecommunication services, billing, contracts, and usage to ensure accuracy, cost efficiency, and compliance with organizational policies and vendor agreements.
What We Need From You
IT & Technology Audit Governance
Develop, document, and maintain IT and technology-related internal audit policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with best practices and Group standards.
Analyze contracts, tariffs, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure correct billing.
Identify billing discrepancies, overcharges, unused services, and cost-saving opportunities.
Establish governance models to enhance operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and compliance across IT and telecom operations.
Evaluate existing IT and technology systems to assess internal audit controls and identify technology-related business risks.
Internal Audit Planning & Execution
Plan, manage, and execute TelCo internal audit engagements in line with Group standards.
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of IT, telecom, and technology controls.
Develop practical and value-driven recommendations based on audit findings.
Collaborate with IT, Finance, Procurement, and vendors on telecom-related matters.
Prepare, review, and present comprehensive audit reports to CEO and relevant stakeholders.
Risk Management & Security Compliance
Collaborate with Group Technology, Group Risk, and other stakeholders to identify potential IT and technology-related threats and vulnerabilities.
Develop and recommend mitigation plans to address identified risks.
Ensure full compliance with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies.
Ensure awareness and compliance with all ISMS policies and procedures.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Perform vendor quality control and quality assurance assessments to ensure alignment with established standards, contracts, and SLAs.
Review vendor performance, risk exposure, and compliance with Zain Bahrain’s and Group policies.
Regulatory, Environmental & OHS Compliance
Ensure awareness of and adherence to all environmental requirements set by statutory bodies in Bahrain and by Zain Group policies.
Support compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (O&HS) management system requirements.
Contribute to the elimination of hazards, minimization of OHS risks, and resolution of OHS-related nonconformities associated with audit activities
Perform all other related duties as assigned or needed.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in fields of Engineering, MIS, IT or relevant field of study.
CIA Required. CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is highly desirable.
8 plus years of experience in IT audit, telecom audit, or technology risk management.
Experience working within telecom is preferred.
