Job Purpose: 


To plan, schedule and organise lifting nominations and comply with other international sales contracts supply and logistics related obligations. To coordinate with various internal parties that include Refinery Operation Planning, Value Chain Optimization, Commercial Sales & Trading, Wharf Operations. To also coordinate with external customers, Aramco OSPAS, Inspectors, Government Officials & agents, to ensure smooth pre, during & post shipment logistical arrangements.


Key Result Areas:


  • Coordinate with Oil Supply Planning & Scheduling of Aramco (OSPAS) on all activities related to scheduling & lifting of Abu Safah crude including vessel acceptance details, lifting program, field maintenance schedule, etc.


  • Negotiate lifting dates, organize and schedule ships for lifting products from loading terminal (Sitra or Ras Tanura) and obtain port captain's approval on nominated vessels.


  • Liaise with customers and Refinery Operations Planning, Agents, Inspectors and Marine Accounting to ensure smooth operations, avoid supply disruption and minimize demurrage costs.


  • Verifies letters of credit with accounting, loading documents, order nos., record of the product loaded, etc. and communicate with Marine Accounting, Trade Management & Analytics and customers.


  • Perform administrative works related to inventory and lifting program of Abu Safah Crude and petroleum products including slates relative systems.


  • Prepare and update records and logs to monitor quantities lifted and ensure proper contract execution.


  • Coordinate with Financial Accounting and agents to meet the customers post shipment documentation requirements.


  • Provide documented evidence of compliance to supply & logistics related obligations arising out of the international sales/purchase contract in order to meet the company’s compliance, legal and fiscal obligations.


  • Deal with cargo and freight counter-parties, terminal, inspectors and vessels on a regular basis regarding all post-deal activities to ensure compliance to documentation requirements.


Knowledge Skills and Experience:


  1. BSc Engineering or in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.


  2. Minimum 10 (Logistics Officer) / 15 (Senior Logistics Officer) years of experience in shipping operations, logistics, marine operations, and the processing of shipping documentations especially in the petroleum industry.


  3. Knowledge of Refining processes, Terminal Operations, current trends in petroleum, shipping and marine laws, oil tanker operations and petroleum product specifications.


  4. Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.


  5. Computer literate and working knowledge of computer business applications. 


  6. Ability to deal with customers from diverse backgrounds.


  7. Good Knowledge of Logistics Management and inventory of oil products.


  8. Knowledge of Planning & Scheduling.
