HEAD CHEF (CHINESE RESTAURANT) - BAHRAIN
We have been retained by an well-established and reputable Hospitality Group in Bahrain that is looking to add a Head Chef for their Chinese Restaurant on a permanent basis. The Head Chef will ensure that the restuarant provides a market leading food offer for all markets in which it operates, the food menus will be innovative, exciting for both customers and employees, and profitable in line with the Company expectations and budgets.The Head Chef will also ensure that the Brand is providing consistent food standards in line with those set by management.
We are looking for someone passionate about food, has great personality and high energy.
Role Brief:
- Develop, test, and refine authentic and contemporary Chinese recipes; design seasonal menus.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate the kitchen staff
- Manage daily kitchen activities, food preparation, cooking, and cleaning processes.
- Ensure consistent high quality, proper portioning, and irresistible presentation of all dishes
- Manage inventory, liaise with suppliers, order supplies, and control food costs/budgets.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and food safety regulations (HACCP)
- Address guest feedback and complaints, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Introduce new culinary concepts and use trending ingredients.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Head Chef / Brand Chef role with particular focus on brand-relevant cuisine.
- Menu development experience is essential.
- Experience managing relationships between suppliers locally and internationally.
- A role model to all staff and is able to assist in training of employees within the business.
