The key objectives for this role are:





  • Monitor and control daily site activities to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

  • Regularly Conduct site inspections to verify the installation quality and ensure compliance with approved drawings and company standards. Prepare, update, and maintain redline mark-up drawings to accurately capture all field modifications and deviations from IFC drawings.

  • The Electrical and Instrumentation Construction Engineer is responsible for construction activities at the project site, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Company Standards, Project Specifications, Design drawings & industry standards.

  • A key responsibility of this role is the preparation and verification of redline mark-up drawings to reflect actual site modifications, ensuring alignment between construction and design deliverables documents.

  • Review issued-for-construction (IFC) drawings and identify any design inconsistencies or constructability issues.

  • Prepare, update, and maintain redline mark-up drawings to accurately capture all field modifications and deviations from IFC drawings.

  • Coordinate with Construction, Engineering and design teams to review mark-ups and incorporate them into final as-built drawings.


  • Verify that all changes made on-site are properly documented and approved according to project change management procedures. Ensure all redline updates are completed before project close-out and commissioning. Conduct joint inspections with QA/QC and client representatives for completed works. Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and field engineering discussions. EDDR / Master Engineering Documents Identification, Vendor Packages & Documents Identification based on the Project Requirements.

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).




Minimum 7 years in construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery projects, with strong exposure to construction supervision, design and as-built documentation.





  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Smart Plant, or equivalent E&I design tools;

  • Hands-on experience preparing and verifying redline mark-up drawings as per Company Standard.

  • Experience control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA), field instrumentation, E&I Vendor Packages & hazardous area installations. Must be able to understand technical drawings, manuals, literature and instructions

  • Detailed knowledge of HSE policies and procedures including PTW, LOTO and electrical isolation.

  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation Engineering & Vendor related drawings (single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, layouts,.

  • Fluent Spoken & Written English

  • Knowledge of international standards such as IEC, NEC, and API

  • Excellent coordination and scheduling skills, control and resource management skill.

  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills.

  • Good interpersonal, team, communication and stakeholder skills.

  • Must have knowledge of industry standards and regulations with regards to safety and quality.

  • Prefer to have a Bahrain Driving License and defensive driver training.
