The Lady in Red is an iconic symbol of Kempinski and is in essence the Residence Ambassador (or First Lady). As an extended arm of the General Manager she welcomes, meets and farewells residents and guests and is responsible for the communication with all residents and guests providing highest quality service standards. The Lady in Red is empowered to take immediate decisions in respect to residents and guest well-being.

  • Supports and assists the front desk and concierge in the residence to ensure a smooth, prompt and effective service to all residents & guests. 
  • Substitutes the Front Office Duty Manager in their absence
  • Handles all residents & guests’ comments & complaints, as well as following up on resolving those.
  • Ensures that as per Kempinski Health & Safety Policy the Fire Exits are free of obstacles.
  • Supports and assists all departments.
  • Ensures that all residents & guests receives prompt, cordial attention and personal recognition and resolves related problems.
  • Inform and co-ordinate with other operating departments matters which may concern them.
  • Check all correspondence of the day’s arrivals to familiarize with arrived and arriving residents & guests and their needs, follows up as required.
  • Maintains appropriate standards of conduct, dress, uniforms, hygiene, appearance and posture for all departmental employees.
  • Ensures that all residence information is kept accurately and up to date.
  • Promotes in house sales and facilities to maximize residence revenues.
  • Understands and carries out duties in line with Residence Emergency Procedures.
  • Inspects Front and Back of house for cleanliness, Health & Safety and reports any faults to concerned departments.
  • Inspects outside areas on a daily basis.
  • Co-ordinates/assists security personnel in all related matters.
  • Responds promptly to any operational requests from residence sections.
  • Attends to referred and unsolved problematic situations.
  • Conduct efficient hand-over with coming team member.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the residence.

Skills

Eligible for a working permit in country of hire  Higher College and or Hotel Management  Minimum 2 years Front Office supervisory position  Preferably within a 5-star property or residences   Proven track record with good progression. Mature and Customer focused. Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment Any additional language is a plus
