Job Summary
The Cluster Director of Engineering is responsible for supporting the cluster's owned properties through the execution of major renovations and day-to-day engineering operations. This position leads projects from the planning stage through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting the required quality standards as dictated by International Operators and the Hotel Group. The role encompasses both strategic project oversight and hands-on management of the engineering needs of the assigned cluster properties.
Technical Skills Required
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and building systems management.
- Proficiency in managing HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and energy management systems.
- Experience in overseeing complex facilities projects from start to finish.
Soft Skills Required
- Leadership: Ability to lead and coordinate a team of internal and external stakeholders to achieve project targets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate project details, challenges, and solutions to a range of audiences.

Education / Technical Qualifications
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, with special consideration for degrees in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering to build a strong foundation for managing hotel facilities projects. Certifications or advanced degrees in project management are advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of prior experience in engineering and project management, specifically within the hospitality or hotel industry, is essential. A total of 15 years of experience in engineering operations for a large hotel or cluster hotel group is mandatory.
