Role Description

UTB is seeking a full-time assistant professor in environmental engineering who will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, conducting cutting-edge research in environmental engineering, publishing findings in reputable journals, contributing to curriculum development, collaborating with industry partners, and engaging in university service through committee work and outreach.

Qualifications

• Held an Assistant Professor role at a higher education institution recognised by the HEC or a highly reputable university
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience post-PhD, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities such as course development and supporting the establishment of professional certifications for courses taught
• Demonstrates excellence in teaching, learning, and research, with international publications in indexed journals (Scopus)
• Proven contribution to academic or administrative tasks, including supervision of master's or bachelor’s degree students
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students, and experience in diverse teaching methodologies such as problem-based or project-based learning
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques related to environmental engineering, particularly in biochemistry and microbiology
• Expertise in teaching subjects like unit operations, industrial processing, environmental assessment, microbiology, biochemistry, and water and waste management
• Active participation in academically recognised events, including research projects and involvement in academic societies
