Main responsibilities

Coordination

  • Co-ordinate all operational/documentation work for Import/Export of Liner customers.
  • Co-ordinate with Principals to get manifest/documents for incoming liner vessels.
  • Attend all queries of the customers.
  • Provide customer service for import shipments for liner as well as logistics imports
  • Update container movements to Liner operator, within 24 hours of vessels departure.
  • Follow up with consignees who have not taken delivery of cargo, on weekly basis.
  • Monitor credits to be extended to customers and obtain approval from management if needed.
  • Handles Export/Import Operational work of main customers.

Documentation:

  • Registration of Custom Manifest for Line and Less Container Load, Full Container Load shipments
  • Preparing delivery orders, invoices (for exports & imports) and import arrival notices for Liner customers.
  • Invoice Process Automation management for invoices related to seafreight operations.
  • Assist with the import customers to sending receivables to the Saudi customers.
  • Monthly/Weekly report to the Principal
  • Prepare terminal departure report & send to principals in time. Check Terminal inventory reports on a regular basis and liaise with Terminal if any discrepancies found.

Skills Required:

  • Requires BS/BA in related discipline.
  • Must have prior experience in Freight Forwarding/Shipping/Liner and Logistics, at least 2 years’ experience in Ocean freight sales preferred.
  • Sales-focused with strong abilities to develop good customer relations and hit sales targets.
  • Proactive mindset as well as quality focus
  • Highly effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • IT literate/digital savviness, with experience from working with MS Office, CRM systems.
  • High degree of self-confidence, initiative, and commitment
  • Customer centered and oriented.
  • Bahrain import / Export market knowledge
  • Familiar with Bahrain customs regulations and Bahrain international port & airport rules
  • Sound understanding of international shipping documentation
