Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Design and execute creative and diverse menus tailored to client preferences and event themes. Stay current with food trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation for catered events. Ensure dishes are executed to the highest standards of quality, taste, and appearance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor kitchen staff. Foster a positive working environment and ensure team members adhere to best practices and company policies.
  • Operational Management: Supervise kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering of supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to understand their culinary needs and preferences. Provide expert advice on menu selection and accommodate special dietary requirements.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate with event planners and venue managers to ensure smooth execution of catering services. Oversee on-site food service and address any issues that arise during events.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene. Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of food and kitchen practices.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the catering kitchen budget, including food costs, labor, and equipment. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a catering environment. Extensive experience in high-volume food preparation and event catering.
  • Education: Culinary degree from an accredited institution preferred. Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong culinary skills with expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Superior organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Personal Traits: Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about food. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
