  • Job Description: Accountant and Administrative Staff  

Position Overview:

  • The Accountant and Administrative Staff will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the overall operations of the organization.
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software and office administration.  

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Record financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements.

Payroll Processing:

  • Prepare and process payroll for employees
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll calculations and deductions
  • Handle payroll tax filings and compliance

Budget Management:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Monitor expenses against budgetary allocations
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to management as needed

Administrative Support:

  • Manage office supplies and equipment
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Handle incoming calls and correspondence
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations.

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and standards
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Assist with audits and financial reviews as necessary.

General Support:

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in accounting and/or administrative roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
