OVERVIEWPosition Manager, Facilities Operations & Maintenance Job Code Division Government Affairs Department Public Safety Role Purpose Unique opportunity for a high-caliber Facilities Operations and Maintenance Manager. Front-end focused, this role is required to lead the development of the Public Safety and Government Affairs Residential Facilities Management strategies on NEOM’s largest region. The remit of this role includes Residential FM strategies, Technology Solutions, Operational Readiness, Digital FM & PPM, plus Health & Safety, Asset Security, Compliance and Health & Safety. A passion for innovation, sustainability, community, and embracing new technologies is essential. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIESKey Responsibilities Facilities Management: Oversee the daily operations of facilities, including offices, warehouses, or production facilities. Ensure that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to facilities management. Maintenance Planning: Plan and schedule regular maintenance and repair activities to ensure the optimal functioning of all systems and equipment. Coordinate with maintenance staff or external contractors to carry out necessary repairs and upgrades. Maintain a record of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, including expenses for maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure efficient use of resources. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that facilities meet all safety and environmental regulations. Implement safety protocols and emergency response plans. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Vendor and Contractor Management: Identify and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers. Monitor vendor performance and ensure that services are delivered as contracted. Manage relationships with contractors and oversee their work. Space Planning: Plan and allocate office or workspace efficiently. Coordinate office moves or expansions. Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-saving initiatives and technologies to reduce operating costs and environmental impact. Monitor energy usage and seek opportunities for optimization. Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of facilities and maintenance staff. Provide training and guidance to team members. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on facilities performance and expenses for upper management. Provide data-driven recommendations for improvements and cost reductions. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire drills and evacuation procedures. Ensure that all staff are trained in emergency protocols. BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and Experience Relevant years of experience in project management in infrastructure/industrial projects Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Experience in risk management and mitigation. Proficient in project management software, such as SAP System MS Project, or similar tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
