Role Purpose: Lead all engineering, maintenance and asset-protection activities to keep the property in optimal condition, compliant, safe and guest-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Own full operation of the engineering department (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, BMS, life-safety systems).- Implement a robust preventive maintenance plan for guestrooms, BOH areas, public spaces and technical systems.- Ensure full compliance with local building codes, fire safety, health & safety and brand standards.- Lead, train and schedule the engineering team; manage performance, overtime and training needs.- Manage vendor selection, contracts and service-levels for specialized systems and capital projects.- Control engineering budget, Cap Ex planning and energy-optimization initiatives to reduce cost per room.- Respond to breakdowns and emergencies quickly to minimize guest-impact.- Maintain exterior and curb appeal of the hotel, including facade, landscaping and parking areas.
Candidate Profile:- 8-12 years hotel engineering experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role at a 4/5 star property.- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management.- Strong knowledge of hospitality building systems, energy management and HSE standards.- Proven track record leading multi-shift engineering teams in high-occupancy hotels.
