JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT - Eatco Transport W.L.L

Responsible for supporting the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations.

Your role involves assisting with bookkeeping, preparing financial documents, and ensuring

accuracy in financial records. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant or

Accounting Manager.

Includes the following (but not limited to):

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:
  • Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and

payments.

  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Generate and send out invoices to clients and track payments.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets,

income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for financial reports.
  • Reconciliation:
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
  • Data Entry:
  • Input financial data into accounting software.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Expense Reporting:
  • Review and process employee expense reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assistance with Audits:
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Gather and prepare necessary documentation for audit purposes.
  • Tax Preparation:
  • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
  • Compliance and Control:
  • Adhere to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Support the implementation of internal controls.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Provide support to the accounting team and other departments.

Qualifications & Skills Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and develop accounting skills.

Background/Required:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in Food and Beverage field
  • Knowledge in Food Costing

Work Environment:

  • Typically works in an office setting.
  • May require occasional overtime during peak financial periods (e.g., end of the fiscal

year, tax season).
