Retail Operations Executive (Bahrain)

Assisting the Regional Manager in business development in the Region in line with the Group’s growth plans and stepping towards higher levels of excellence in retail, and other related areas across various concepts, formats, brands, functions & teams. Additionaly, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Regional Manager in Network Expansion opportunities and implementation of same.

Job Description:

Retail – Business & Operations
  • Monitoring Sales performance of all retail units in the region and ensure that Stores deliver the budgeted objectives set for each financial year
  • Monitoring and ensuring appropriate stock levels of various brands at retail Units in coordination with brand teams.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that store upkeep is maintained at all time and ensure appropriate vendors are deployed, in consultation with the Regional Manager for Annual Maintenance, Store Cleaning and any other requirements of Store Hygiene in line with our SOPs
  • Ensuring that Merchandising guidelines are followed at all retail outlets and coordinate rectifying actions as required in coordination with the brand team
  • Monitor the monthly rosters of all retail units and ensure appropriate staffing at all points and diligent reporting
  • Ensuring stores operate as per Mall timings without fail
Staff Management
  • Monitoring and Assisting ing Regional Manager in ensuring all stores operate with budgeted staffing and coordinate with HO for recruitment in line with Company policies and norms
  • Coordinating with Brand Teams and L&D managers to ensure that all staff undertake Induction/Brand Training and Soft Selling Skill training, as per the schedule put forth by HR and Brand Teams
  • Evaluating sales performance of the retail staff and implementing Performance Improvement plans for low performing retail staff, in consultation with the Regional Manager
  • Monitoring the monthly rosters of all retail units and ensure appropriate staffing at all points
  • Compiling Annual Leave planners for Retail staff, in line with key Promotional periods and ensuring that Commercial operations are not affected at any stage
  • Ensuring timely completion of Staff Appraisals and Probation Assessments as per HR guidelines
Administration
  • Monitoring and ensuring that all proper documentation is in place with respect to facilitating Staff Leaves and the same is updated on Ramco Hub as per HR guidelines
  • Assisting Regional Manager in implementation of appropriate staff Uniforms in line with the grooming guidelines advised by HR from time to time
  • Liaising and Coordinating with HO on requirement of Uniform material for all operating divisions (For New Joiners/Annual and Mid-term issuance); stocking, issuance to Tailor, coordinate the LPOs and Tailoring invoices with HO so that timely payments can be facilitated
  • Ensuring all staff allowance payouts, are uploaded on Company Software during the first week of the month.
  • Ensuring Passport Releases happen only as per the SOPs, in coordination with Finance department
Asset Management/Maintenance
  • Coordinating with Asset Management team and contractors concerned, to ensure timely completion of Fit out/Snag work in new and existing stores
  • Identifying all maintenance issues at retail level and coordinate with Asset management/Contractors to ensure rectification of the same
  • Coordinating and ensuring financial prudence by ensuring all vendors are finalized post comparing quotes from a minimum of two to three vendors
Marketing and Promotions
  • Assisting the Regional Manager in identifying promotional requirement, and discuss the same with Brand Managers/Regional Operations Manager (ROM) and finalize the mechanics
  • Facilitating local adaptation, printing and implementation of all promotional and brand collaterals, as per the schedule
  • Coordinating all required Mall permissions for Collateral implementations
  • Leading, identifying any promotional tie-ups and Corporate Sales opportunities and finalise the same in coordination with the Regional Manager
Legal and PRO Activities
  • Monitoring and Coordinating with PRO team to ensure all Govt permits such as Trade Licenses/ Commercial Permits/Municipality Agreements/Facility Licenses and all other related Govt permits are obtained on a timely manner to facilitate our commercial operations
Leasing
  • Assisting the Regional Manager in initiating negotiations on Lease agreements, and in concluding the same
  • Assisting the Regional Manager in identification of new location prospects and opportunities
  • Coordinate and ensure with HO Leasing, that all Tenancy Contracts and other statutory requirements are in place
Finance
  • Conducting all Surprise Stock Takes as per the schedule finalized with Finance team and report any discrepancies
  • Validating all Petty Cash Statements and submit the same to Regional Manager for further processing
  • Ensuring all stock summaries are diligently implemented as per the SOPs before completing the indemnity processes
  • Ensuring all Terms and Conditions of promotions and implementation of promotion on POS is validated by Finance before implementation
Warehouse and Logistics
  • Ensuring all allocations, inter-location transfers and pull back from Retail outlets are implemented in a timely manner, in coordination with the Warehouse team,
  • Ensuring all Duty-Free deliveries, Repair and other requirements are addressed
  • Ensuring proper stock take is implemented at the warehouse as directed by the Regional Manager

PROFILE:

At least 3-5 years of experience in Retail sales/Operations Excellent verbal and written English communication Well presented, innovative and self-driven personality Good organizing, problem-solving skills and a quick learner Strong analytical skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc. Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines Should have a valid driving license (Bahrain)#J-18808-Ljbffr
