Deputy Head of Retail & Digital Operations

Job Purpose:
To contribute to the creations of a Unified Group Operations capability through the successful delivery of organizational change which ultimately delivers a standard operating model for operational activities across Group that is capable of being consistently and accurately measured and which supports the long-term objectives of the organization. The job aims at handling the operations for Group Wholesale on payments and handling the Retail and Digital Banking Operations for ila Bank.
Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:
  • Lead and Develop teams of dedicated professionals to deliver best-in-class banking operations across Payments, ATM&Cards, Reconciliation to ensure that the required objectives of customer experience is met.
  • Deployment of relevant Key performance metrics to drive a consistent, rigorous, and on-going assessment of the Group’s operational capability.
  • Identify the process needs and remedies to meet business goals and performance objectives, partner with relevant internal and external stakeholders along with operational leadership to further develop our banking team to ensure that our teams have the processes available to them all times and on all channels to create a life enhancing customer experience.
  • Improve end to end process efficiency and excellence of our banking operations for existing and new to market and find opportunities to explore and implement new technologies that harness the full potential of our systems to a word class level, leveraging automation where possible.
  • Establish, maintain, and revise policies and procedures to further enhance our internal knowledge base and meet the regulatory commitments.
  • Contribute to the overall Bank ABC/ila Bank strategy thereby leading some of the key initiatives to bring in consistency, consolidation, reduce cost and increase operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the deployment of Target operating model for Group Operations.
  • Handle the overall settlement processes for Bank ABC/ Ila Bank related to Cards – Debit and Credit.
  • Manage the outsourcing relationship with scheme partners like Mastercard and Visa and build a card transaction model which is scalable for the future.
  • Can work in an Agile environment whereby has the ability to manage the current operational tasks and in parallel manage the project deliverables to meet the fast-growing demand from the customers.
  • Ability to handle team and stakeholder request during the absence of Head of Retail and Digital Operations.
Experience:
  • Atleast 10 years experience working for a financial institution in relevant field, with 5 years of management experience.
 Education:
  •  Bachelors Degree 
  • Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus
