Role Summary Nass MEP is looking for an experienced MEP Operations Manager to lead and coordinate the successful delivery of multiple mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects across Bahrain, from preconstruction and planning through execution, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements .
This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, technical knowledge, project management expertise, and the ability to effectively coordinate clients, main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple MEP projects, ensuring compliance with approved schedules, specifications, budgets, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
Lead coordination with clients, main contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare and manage detailed project plans, scopes of work, timelines, milestones, resource requirements, and project schedules.
Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement effective cost-control measures to support profitable project delivery.
Support preconstruction and work-winning activities, including project inputs, estimates, planning assumptions, technical coordination, and project execution strategies.
Coordinate the procurement of MEP materials, equipment, and services in collaboration with the Supply Chain and Procurement teams.
Plan and optimize the allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, plant, machinery, equipment, and other project resources.
Supervise Project Managers, engineers, site teams, and cross-disciplinary leads to ensure effective and timely project execution.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Review technical specifications, shop drawings, BOQs, equipment data sheets, method statements, material submissions, and other MEP-related documentation.
Oversee MEP testing, commissioning, documentation, close-out activities, and final project handover.
Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, cost overruns, resource constraints, technical issues, and operational risks, ensuring timely corrective action.
Prepare and submit regular project progress, cost, performance, and management reports, highlighting key risks, delays, corrective actions, and decisions required.
Ensure compliance with applicable Bahraini regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, technical standards, quality requirements, and HSSE procedures .
Develop and implement effective quality-control measures to ensure MEP works meet approved specifications and applicable standards.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor the effective utilization of plant, machinery, manpower, materials, and subcontractor resources and prevent unnecessary expenditure or misuse.
Support the timely resolution of technical, commercial, procurement, and operational issues affecting project delivery.
Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines, approved budgets, and required contractual and regulatory standards.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the MEP Division Manager in line with business requirements.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering .
Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in MEP project execution, construction, or related project operations.
Proven experience managing multiple MEP projects from planning and execution through testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Previous experience working in the GCC region , preferably with strong knowledge of the Bahrain construction environment.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, project planning, budgeting, resource management, procurement, cost control, and project execution.
Strong understanding of MEP design standards, construction practices, testing and commissioning requirements, and applicable local regulations.
Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering and site teams.
Strong understanding of quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Proven ability to manage client, main contractor, consultant, subcontractor, and supplier relationships.
Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while delivering against challenging schedules, budgets, and contractual requirements.
Strong reporting, commercial awareness, and decision-making capabilities.
PMP certification or relevant professional engineering license is an advantage.
