Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AI Integration Developer / AI Engineer to join the National Genome Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, and deploying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions within enterprise systems and healthcare applications.

The role focuses on Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Machine Learning, and integrating AI services with enterprise applications and .NET-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI and Machine Learning solutions for enterprise and healthcare applications.

• Develop and implement Generative AI and LLM-based solutions.

• Build and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications and intelligent search solutions.

• Integrate AI models and services with existing .NET applications and enterprise systems.

• Work with cloud-based AI services, particularly AWS SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock.

• Develop APIs and integration services for connecting AI models with enterprise applications.

• Prepare, process, and manage data required for AI and Machine Learning applications.

• Evaluate AI models and optimize their performance, accuracy, scalability, and reliability.

• Implement prompt engineering and AI workflow solutions where applicable.

• Develop AI-powered automation and intelligent applications.

• Collaborate with .NET developers, software engineers, data specialists, and other technical teams.

• Troubleshoot AI integration issues and ensure reliable communication between AI services and enterprise systems.

• Follow security, privacy, and governance requirements when handling sensitive healthcare and genomic data.

• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to architecture and solution design.

• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Technical Skills

• Strong programming experience with Python and/or C#/.NET.

• Practical experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

• Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

• Hands-on experience developing RAG-based applications.

• Experience integrating AI models and services through APIs.

• Knowledge of AWS AI/ML services, particularly:

• Amazon SageMaker

• Amazon Bedrock

• Understanding of Machine Learning model development, deployment, and evaluation.

• Experience with data processing and preparation for AI applications.

• Understanding of software integration and enterprise application architectures.

• Familiarity with databases and data retrieval technologies.

• Knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• Relevant professional experience in AI, Machine Learning, AI integration, or software development.

• Experience developing and deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments is preferred.

• Experience with healthcare, genomics, or government projects is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating LLMs with enterprise applications.

• Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.

• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks and AI agents.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and deployment.

• Understanding of AI security, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
