Job description

Sofitel Bahrain is looking for a motivated and customer-focused gym instructor to join our wellness & recreation team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, and dedicated to promoting a safe and welcoming environment in our fitness facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide a professional, friendly, and personalized fitness experience.
• Conduct gym orientations and demonstrate the safe use of fitness equipment.
• Design personalized fitness programs based on guests' goals and fitness levels.
• Monitor guests during workouts to ensure correct exercise techniques and safety.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the fitness center.
• Perform routine inspections of gym equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Support wellness activities, fitness classes, and hotel events as required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Promote the hotel's wellness facilities and services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in fitness, physical education, sports science, or a related field.
• Valid gym/fitness instructor or personal trainer certification.
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a gym instructor or personal trainer, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or fitness club.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with a strong focus on guest service.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
