Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager in the Catering Division at Mohammed Jalal & Sons W.L.L. The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the catering division, including managing staff, ensuring quality service delivery, developing business strategies, and maintaining client relationships in Southern Governorate, Bahrain.

Qualifications

•   Mature professional with previous experience in the contract catering industry.

•   Minimum of 4 years in a senior management position.

•   Sales and marketing experience.

•   Tendering for different types of catering contracts.

•   Knowledge of food and beverage operations for special functions.

•   Experience in dealing with clients from different industrial sectors.

•   Ability to manage a workforce of 200+ employees of different nationalities.

•   Experience with quality assurance of food service operations.

•   Ability to identify sales opportunities, and monitor such progress.

•   Financially smart from an accounting perspective and operationally.

•   Ability to identify alternative sources of supply and products.

•   The ability to interpret accounts and balance sheets.

•   Possess experience with developing kitchen designs.

•   Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment.

·   Experience in wholesale/retail  sales of food and non-food products.

·   Experience in the food and beverage industry, catering management, and hospitality

·   Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills

·   Financial management and budgeting skills

·   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·   Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the catering industry

·   Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field

·   Certifications in Food Safety and Catering Management are a plus

·    Arabic and English  speaking would be a distinct advantage.
