Job Purpose
One of our prestigious clients in Maritime industry based in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking to hire Engineer I, Piping. Summary of the main purpose of the job as the basic function and scope of the job in terms of organization, geographic areas supported, financial or other volume/size metrics, strategic impact, and nature of supervision received or exercised related to the job in a descriptive manner.<br/><br/>Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships<br/><br/>Preparation of design deliverables with consideration for applicable codes & standards.<br/><br/>Prepare specification, technical evaluation, Supplier documentation review and expediting with Supplier.<br/><br/>Perform calculations applying Piping engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria for Ship Building designs.<br/><br/>Interface with other departments to reflect the as-on-date input from other Departments as applicable.<br/><br/>Maintain the required technical quality of work.<br/><br/>Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.<br/><br/>Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.<br/><br/>Attend factory inspection reports.<br/><br/>Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.<br/><br/>Capture all changes/modifications in the deliverables that have been intimated by project, prior to release of deliverable.<br/><br/>QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.<br/><br/>JOB DESCRIPTION
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations) Preferred: Any additional certification/courses in engineering, AutoCAD, analysis software, 3D modeling, / piping engineering.<br/><br/>Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)<br/><br/>Basic engineering knowledge in the respective discipline.<br/><br/>Awareness of international codes & standards, maritime regulations, and class rules.<br/><br/>Knowledge of AutoCAD; Ability to cooperate within a multinational environment.<br/><br/>Good communication and presentation skills.<br/><br/>Experience:
3-9 years in the engineering design department of any offshore shipbuilding or shipbuilding industry, as an EPC contractor and/or consultant.<br/><br/>Languages
