Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated Bahraini National Field Service Engineer with experience in turbomachinery maintenance and repair (Steam Turbines, Compressors and Pumps). This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field who possesses a solid understanding of rotating machinery and basic technical skills. The Field Service Engineer will support senior engineers in analyzing customer issues, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the turbomachinery industry. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support:
  • Assist senior engineers in diagnosing and troubleshooting customer problems related to turbomachinery.
  • Learn to interpret technical documentation and blueprints to support maintenance activities.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
Project Coordination:
  • Support senior engineers in planning and scheduling maintenance projects.
  • Assist in allocating resources and materials effectively to execute work scopes.
  • Learn to conduct safety planning and adhere to project schedules and guidelines.
Customer Interaction:
  • Work closely with customers to understand their maintenance needs and provide basic technical support.
  • Assist in delivering toolbox talks and participating in customer training sessions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication and teamwork.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Assist in documenting project activities and preparing service reports.
  • Support senior engineers in managing local purchasing activities and issuing work method statements.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and product enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in turbomachinery / rotating equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles and rotating machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the turbomachinery industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
