Our client is a leading FMCG company looking to hire a Supply Chain lead for their manufacturing set up based in Bahrain.
The Supply Chain Lead plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the flow of goods, services, and information within the organization. They are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
- Overseeing inventory management and demand forecasting to meet customer needs
- Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
- Evaluating and improving supply chain processes to enhance overall performance
- Managing logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve supply chain goals and objectives
- Monitoring and mitigating supply chain risks
- Utilizing data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement
- Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly reporting on supply chain metrics
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Skills
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in supply chain management or related roles
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and supply chain optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management
- Certifications in supply chain management or related areas is a plus
- Understanding of global logistics and international trade regulations
